Roof Wash / Seal Check
Shade is wonderful when camping, but the debris that can accumulate can cause damage to your RV’s roof. It is also good to have your roof seals checked on an annual basis. Exposure to temperatures (heat and cold) and the elements (wet and/or dry) can deteriorate roof seals and lead to the risk of costly leaks. Service Prerequisites: Roof Wash Service is subject to campground regulations and overall roof condition. The campground must allow for RV washes. An initial visual roof inspection determines the safety of both our tech and your RV’s roof surface in cleaning the roof. If large tears or damage is present, a repair may be recommended before water is applied to the surface. Once approved, we clear the roof surface of environmental debris and perform a pre-wash rinse. We then clean the roof with a manufacturer-approved cleaning solution and a soft bristle brush followed by a post-rinse wash to remove any residue. (It is common for some runoff to occur on the sidewalls of the RV. This poses no harm to the RV. We do not guarantee the absence of these occasional runoffs without the add-on of a sidewall & cap rinse.) Once the roof is washed, we perform a roof sealant assessment and repair small sealant cracks as needed. If larger sealant issues or points of potential water intrusion are present, we will take pictures and provide you with this information as well as our recommendation. This sealant assessment covers the front cap, rear cap, curbside and street-side sidewalls, plumbing vent covers, skylights, A/C units, TV/Satellite receivers, solar connectors and any exterior vents. A rinse of the sidewalls and caps is available as an add-on service. This is not a detailed cleaning, but a rinsing off of any runoff from the roof cleaning, and whatever dirt/pollen might be on the surface.
